Arrests for adults purchasing alcohol for minors
Alcohol Decoy Operation:
On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, members of the Moreno Valley Police Department Problem Oriented Policing Team (POP) in collaboration with California Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Investigators conducted an undercover Minor Decoy/Shoulder Tap operation.
During the shoulder tap operation, three adults agreed to purchase alcohol for the underage decoys. All suspects were issued citations for furnishing alcohol to a minor. The following arrests were made because of operation:
James Edward Bryant, age 47, of Moreno Valley
Rodney Troy Berkley, 27, of Moreno Valley
Ivan Cabrera, age 24, of Moreno Valley
This project is part of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s Minor Decoy/Shoulder Tap Project, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The Moreno Valley Police Department will be vigilant in arresting violators of the law.
